Jul 27, 2007·I had a diaper genie for one week and hated it. All though I never purchased one, I have reccomended the Diaper Champ to my friends. Most of them have it and love it. The friends that don't have the Champ have no diaper pail at all. For both of my children I have used a small flip lid diaper pail. I believe it was Safety First $17.

I had the Diaper Genie with my first baby and I hated it! I ended up getting the Diaper Champ (that one was ok but didn't really keep out the smells). For this baby I registered for the Arm and Hammer pail. It was between that the Dekor pail.

Not only is the Diaper Dekor larger than the Diaper Genie so it will hold more diapers, the mouth is bigger as well--this makes depositing adult diapers much, much easier. I had previously purchased the Diaper Genie and was somewhat unhappy with it--the plastic was flimsy, it was small, and larger diapers barely squeezed through the opening.
